TEACHER'S DAY CELEBRATION

Teacher's Day is closely associated with Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was a distinguished scholar, philosopher, and the second President of India. Born on September 5th, 1888, he believed in the importance of education and its role in shaping a nation. When he became the President of India, his students and admirers requested to celebrate his birthday as a way to honor his contributions to education. In response, Dr. Radhakrishnan suggested that instead of celebrating his birthday, it should be observed as Teacher's Day to recognize and honor all teachers. His humility and commitment to education led to the establishment of Teacher's Day on September 5th, as a tribute to teachers and their vital role in society. On this teacher's day ECS IITM Student Chapter thank all the teachers for making our life better and knowledgeful. The occasion will be more blessed with the presence and knowledge of our beloved teacher Prof. K. Vidyasagar.
